Three dishes. This is what they are.
People come in and don't know what mantu is, and they're too shy to ask. Fair enough. So we've written the three of them down, in the words we'd use standing at your table.
Mantu
Dumplings. That's the short answer, and it's the one most people are after.
My mum still does the pastry by hand, every morning, before we open. That's the whole reason we run out of it. When it's gone it's gone, so if the mantu is the thing you came in for, come earlier in the evening rather than at the end of it.
Somebody on our Google listing put it better than we would: "Best mantu in Christchurch, and I have tried them all."
Kabuli pulao
The rice dish. Order it when you want a proper feed rather than a snack.
There's plenty of it, and that isn't us talking it up. "Portions are massive and the staff treat you like family" is a customer's sentence, off our Google listing, not ours.
Charcoal kebabs
Done over the charcoal. Ask us which ones are on tonight and we'll tell you what's good.
What it costs
We're not expensive. A family of four eats properly for under a hundred bucks.

Ask us. Tell us how many of you there are and how hungry you are, and we'll tell you what's good today. Nobody minds the question.
We have never once put a dish on the menu we would not eat ourselves. That's the rule.
